Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Our Story

Stress Nuts was born at the end of 2019, just as the world was entering one of its most stressful moments. During the early days of the pandemic, music producer DJ Nelson had already purchased a 3D printer as a way to stay creative while stuck at home. The very first thing he printed was a simple fidget toy shaped like a nut and bolt — a design that felt familiar, satisfying, and fun to spin.

When brainstorming what to call this "thing", DJ Nelson kept coming back to the idea of stress relief and the spinning nut. That’s when Stress Nuts was born — “Stress” for the calming effect of fidgeting, and “Nuts” for the original nut-and-bolt shape.

Nelson shared the fidget toy on social media, and it quickly went viral. People wanted to buy it. We decided to build a website. Orders started pouring in, and what started as something fun to relax while stuck inside, turned into a full-fledged family business. We ended up investing in more 3D printers, and took every order seriously — sometimes waiting days for a single fidget to print!

Over time, Stress Nuts has evolved. We’ve created new designs, collaborated with incredible artists like Yandel and the Wheeler Bros., and kept innovating to give our customers more ways to manage stress and stay focused.

Today, Stress Nuts is still family-owned, led by DJ Nelson’s daughter as CEO, and dedicated to bringing moments of calm and fun into people’s lives — one spin at a time.
